Every wedding should be as much of an enjoyable time as possible. It is unfortunate that many people see its preparation as an ultimately stressful endeavor. That is why I do whatever I can to help a couple get everything in order, in a way that allows them to create the fullest and most complete experience. For over 20 years, I have been fine-tuning my ability to do so, learning how to properly organize various aspects of the special day.
The ceremonial services themselves often provide people with a bit of a question mark. Many couples worry about the length and how to keep the audience energized until the reception. Whether you are looking for a more standard ceremony or something personalized, I can help design one with some guaranteed laughs and personal interjections. It can be fun to tell the story of how you met, describe your personalities and unique attributes, and express the most telling qualities of your bond. We can write a script and vows that are completely your own.
Over the years, I have worked with a diverse set of couples from all sorts of ethnic backgrounds. As a wedding officiant, it is important for me to understand certain rituals that may need to be incorporated. These may include, but are not limited to, the unity candle, breaking the glass, or jumping the broom. In many cases, it is necessary to recognize cultural aspects of celebrations for a couple from separate nationalities. The wide diversity in the Bay Area has filled my experiences with a very broad scope of traditions. I am very supportive of this and love working with people to devise the best plan for acknowledging each of the ethnic backgrounds.
