I have been an officiant in the Bay Area for over 20 years and a member of this community for over 55 years. My career has been overwhelmingly fulfilling. The personal joy of being there at a union of love has been a lifting factor in my quality of life and I can honestly say, after all these years, each wedding or union is still so special to me. Walking away and knowing that a couple will forever hold this event in memory is such a sacred feeling. The union of love is the most beautiful moment in our lives, and the honor of ministering such a sacred commitment is perhaps the greatest joy in my life today.
I have many years of experience relating with both opposite sex and same sex couple marriages. As the officiant of a wedding, I work with couples to create the words that express their deepest sentiments. By listening to what is important to you, I make suggestions to build a ceremony that is truly meaningful. I honor your union by incorporating loving details into an introduction, adding poetry, prose, scriptural readings or symbolic rituals to extend the meaning of your commitment. Guests and family members may also likely have the occasion of participating with you.
From the perspective of a teacher, artist, parent and non-denominational minister, I look for opportunities to highlight your unique personalities in your wedding or commitment ceremony by interviewing each of you.
